Common Items

I have a few standard items I make, such as Blanket Ladders, Benches, and Noodleboard Stove Covers. These items are pretty much always a set price. Blanket ladders are $50, my current bench design is $75 and noodleboards are $40. Prices may go up depending on prices of materials but for the most part, I try to keep these standard items at a standard price as much as possible.

Custom Items

Custom items are just that, custom. Each custom project comes with its own circumstances such as materials, finding or developing build plans, learning curve on how to do it, etc. Custom projects are also priced on the size of the item being built. I do my best to be fair in pricing and still make some money in the process.

The Math

Most folks have some formula for calculating project cost and profit being made. I do this as a hobby/second stream of income, not my fulltime job therefore I haven’t developed a strict pricing formula. Instead, as mentioned above, I try to price everything fairly and still make some money off my work. As things change, such as material prices, my prices may change as well.
